The Gran Sasso Science Institute (GSSI) in L’Aquila, Italy, is currently accepting applications for 41 fully funded PhD scholarships in a range of fields, including Astroparticle Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, and Regional Science and Economic Geography. GSSI will award fully funded scholarships to successful candidates, which will cover tuition fees and provide a yearly gross amount of € 16.243,00. The university may also grant additional funding for research periods abroad, subject to approval. During the first year of study, students will receive free accommodation, while in the remaining three years, they will receive a contribution to their housing costs.

The PhD programs have a duration of four years, and the academic year will begin on November 1st, 2023. Candidates with an interest in heterodox approaches to urban and regional planning are strongly encouraged to apply.
