Education:

  • PhD in Neuroscience

Experience:

  • Experience in electrophysiology, preferably in vivo

Skills:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Matlab and/or Python programming
  • Experience in computational models of sensory cortex

Job Details:

Salary: £37,099 – £44,263 Per Annum

Department: College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine / Edinburgh Medical School / Deanery of Biomedical Sciences / Centre for Discovery Brain Sciences

Hours: Full Time (35 Hours Per Week)

The Opportunity:

Join the team as a post-doctoral researcher focusing on neuronal networks underlying visual-spatial integration. Utilize in vivo large-scale electrophysiological recordings and virtual reality in awake behaving mice.

Your Skills and Attributes for Success:

  • PhD in Neuroscience with experience in electrophysiology
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly
  • Strong programming skills in Matlab and/or Python
  • Familiarity with computational models of sensory cortex
