The Editing Press launched the Laura Bassi Scholarship in 2018 with the goal of providing editorial support to postgraduates and junior academics working on neglected topics within their disciplines. The scholarship is available to candidates from all fields and is awarded three times a year in December, April, and August. The scholarship funds will be paid out exclusively in editorial support:
- Master’s students: $750
- Doctoral candidates: $2,500
- Junior academics: $500
These figures represent the upper limit of editorial support costs for master’s theses, doctoral dissertations, and academic journal articles, respectively. All master’s and doctoral candidates who are currently enrolled are eligible to apply, as are academics who have been in full-time employment for less than five years. There are no restrictions based on institution, department, or country.
