However, certain conditions must be fulfilled by Ph.D. candidates, including a regular mode of Ph.D., evaluation by external examiners, a viva voce, publication of research papers, and presentation of papers in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by relevant agencies. Note: NET/SLET/SET is not required for certain Master’s programs in disciplines where these tests are not conducted by UGC, CSIR, or similar agencies.OR(B) A Ph.D. degree obtained from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in the World University Ranking by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), the Times Higher Education (THE), or the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).
